Group Socialization
$45/day*
At Maple Leaf K9, we offer a structured socialization program designed to improve and maintain your dog’s social skills in a safe, supportive environment. Our focus is on quality social interaction—not just being an outsourced means of depleting energy. Our program offers a sustainable alternative to high-volume daycare and boarding facilities, providing an intentional and individualized approach to canine socialization.

Benefits of our program:
-
Dogs participate in small group settings (fewer than 25 dogs)
-
This helps foster positive and manageable associations with socializing.
-
-
With our recommended recurring bookings, dogs are consistently grouped with familiar faces week to week, which builds comfort, confidence, and stronger social bonds.
-
Social time tailored to each dog's individual needs, from group energy level to duration.

Our ideal social dog is playful but also able to match the energy of the group—active when appropriate, calm when it’s time to settle.
We prioritize downtime just as much as play. Our socialization program includes structured rest periods. To ensure the quality of this rest, we require that all dogs are properly crate-trained before entering the program. This ensures each dog has a quiet, secure space to relax between interactions.

If you're looking for a thoughtful, well-managed way to help your dog build or maintain strong social skills, Maple Leaf K9’s group socialization program offers exactly that—consistency, structure, and a deep understanding of what true canine social success looks like.

*Discounts available on daily rate for clients that are medical or education professionals or clients who pay via cash, check, or Venmo.

We can't recommend Maple Leaf K9 enough. They have been so welcoming, supportive, and knowledgeable with our large newf puppy, and helping to make sure her needs as well as the other dogs around her are met. Their love of dogs is palpable the minute you walk into the facility, and they greet each owner and pup with warmth and respect. Our dog has come home each time happy and confident.

What are the facility hours for daycare? Our daycare program runs Mondays through Thursdays. Our hours for drop-offs and pick-ups are 7am-10am and 3pm-6pm. Drop-offs and pick-ups cannot normally be accommodated outside of these windows as our team is actively supporting the dogs in our care.
-
How do I get my dog started at daycare?Create a user account on Gingr, our scheduling site, and request a "Daycare I Trial Day" reservation for your preferred day. Note: Trial day slots are limited daily to provide our team adequate time with your dog. Your first preference may not be available if all slots are filled. Add your pup to the waitlist and we will contact you if room opens up!
-
Would my dog benefit from daycare? It's important to recognize that, similar to human beings, dogs have varying social needs and preferences. Safe socialization cannot be a one-size-fits-all approach. Daycare should serve the purpose of providing the dog an appropriate balance of play and rest time surrounded by dogs who are socially compatible moderated by an experienced handler. Due to our small pack, dogs must fit in our social environment to qualify for our daycare service. This determination happens during your dog's Trial Day. Our ideal daycare dog is playful, but capable of matching the energy of the other dogs around them when the group is calmer. Young puppies and elderly dogs are not ideal candidates for all-day daycare services. Daycare services are not appropriate for dogs displaying aggression issues, instead see our training services.
-
Are there any options available to purchase daycare in bulk?Yes! There are two package options available. They can be purchased onsite or through our customer portal. 10-day package: $405 (10% off each day). Expires 6 months after purchase. 20-day package: $765 (15% off each day). Expires 12 months after purchase.

What if my dog gets injured or falls ill during their stay?We have an established relationship with a number of local vets in the greater Burlington area and are ready to get your dog the medical attention they need if the situation arises. We prefer to work with the veterinarian that your dog has an established relationship with but are also ready to go to the emergency vet if needed. Burlington Emergency & Veterinarian Specialists (BEVS) is open 24/7 and is less than 5 minutes from our facility. Prior to taking your dog to receive medical attention, we will contact you. In the event we are unable to reach you, we will contact your emergency contact on file. Please ensure you have the best emergency contact information on file prior to dropping your dog off with us. In the event we are unable to reach you or your emergency contact, we will take the best course of action to keep your dog healthy and safe while in our care.
-
How can I check in on my dog while I'm away?Easy! Contact our facility via your Gingr app, email, or phone at any point during their stay. Please note that the fastest way to reach us on the weekend is via email as our team is away from the front desk with the dogs. You will receive boarding stay updates via email throughout the course of your dog's stay with us. The emails will provide you photos and update you on any information you need to be aware of (ex. health or behavioral changes, eating pattern disruptions).
-
What belongings should I bring?Pack the following items for your dog's time with us: Own food. We are capable of storing and safely handling all diet forms (dry kibble, wet food, or raw diet). Food can either come pre-portioned or in the original container. No glassware for safety reasons. Medications and supplements. We prefer to receive vet-prescribed medication in the original bottle. If owners bring in unlabeled medication (ex. in pill container), we will review all pertinent information at check-in. Bedding. If your dog is used to a bed and has not displayed destructive tendencies, we are happy to provide it to them. In the event your dog begins to chew or ingest the bedding, we will remove it from their run and will inform you of the behavioral change. Toys and chew bones. Similar to bedding, your dog is welcomed to have additional engaging items in their run so long as they are interacting with them appropriately. You do not need to bring: Water and food bowls unless your dog eats from a specialty bowl (ex. slow-feeder).
-
How will my dog spend their time during boarding? Here is the daily schedule that our boarding clients follow during their time with us: * Please note that even our most seasoned daycare attendees will not join daycare every day during a boarding stay. The focus of our daycare program is to provide a high-quality and beneficial social experience for all the dogs in the group. For this reason, we prioritize boarders joining the daycare program when it most benefits their own social preferences.
-
How do I schedule a boarding stay? All clients must create a Gingr account to schedule boarding. Once a Gingr account is created, clients are able to easily request boarding reservations through their Gingr portal or by contacting our facility via email or phone. We'd love to meet you and your dog before their first boarding stay, however, completing a reservation prior to a boarding stay is not required*. If we do not meet your dog, we will use their initial visit with us as their trial stay for future boarding reservations. *Unless your dog has completed a trial day with us before their boarding stay, we will not be integrating them into our socialization program. If you are interested in us evaluating your dog's social preferences, please request that we complete their trial day during their stay ($45/trial day).
